Specialist therapy for addiction and compulsive behaviours.

Support for alcohol, drug, and behavioural addictions and the pain that so often sits beneath them.

Understanding the Experience

Addiction is rarely just about the substance or the behaviour. It's about what it does for you — the relief, the escape and the sense of control or connection it seems to offer, even as it takes more than it gives. Addiction can touch anyone, at any stage of life, and it often carries a weight of shame that keeps people isolated and silent.

Alongside alcohol and drug use, we work with behavioural addictions — including gambling, sex and pornography, gaming, and compulsive spending — as well as the anxiety, depression, and relational difficulties that frequently accompany them.

How we work

Our therapists have specialist experience in addiction and recovery, and understand both the psychological patterns and the deeper emotional roots. We can support you in:

  • Understanding the role addiction has come to play in your life

  • Exploring and healing the underlying pain, trauma, or unmet needs that drive the behaviour

  • Working alongside existing recovery support, such as 12-step fellowships, medical care, or detox services

  • Navigating cravings, setbacks, and the realities of change without shame

  • Rebuilding trust — in your relationships, and in yourself

We meet you without judgement about where you are in your relationship with addiction — whether you're questioning it for the first time, in active recovery, or somewhere in between. We tailor therapy to your needs, drawing on approaches that support both emotional healing and lasting change.

What to expect

We'll begin with a thorough assessment to understand your situation, your history, and what you're hoping for. From there, we'll match you with a therapist experienced in addiction for weekly sessions, online or in-person. Where helpful, we may also discuss additional support such as your GP, a psychiatrist, or peer recovery groups that can strengthen your recovery alongside therapy.

Psychotherapy and dietetics assessment

Our Eating Disorders service requires all new clients to have both an initial psychotherapy assessment (this is undertaken online), and an initial dietetics assessment (this is undertaken online or in-person). Once the initial assessments have taken place, we will discuss your preference for online or in-person ongoing therapy and dietetics, if required.

Our service is not suitable for people seeking treatment who have a very low BMI (typically of 14 or less), or who are experiencing multiple addictions. If in doubt, please contact us before booking.

Please note, all of our services are for people aged 18 and over.
Subsequent psychotherapy and dietetics appointments are usually invoiced fortnightly in arrears.

Once you have booked an initial assessment, one of our assessing clinicians will contact you to arrange your assessment appointment.
